The Flash Season 4 Starts Filming Tomorrow

After season three ended on a surprising note, it appears that fans will soon be one step closer to future installments of The Flash.

The popular The CW series will reportedly begin filming its fourth season starting tomorrow, July 4th. This comes courtesy of HollywoodNorth.Buzz, a site that tracks the many productions filming in and around the Vancouver, British Columbia area.

With filming on the new season officially upon us, we've already begun to get hints from the series' cast as to what to expect in the early episodes of Season 4. Candice Patton hinted that fans will see a new side of Iris West when the show returns after its six-month time jump. And Keiynan Lonsdale revealed that Wally West/Kid Flash will not officially adopt the mantle of The Flash in Barry's absence.

Nevertheless, plenty of unanswered questions still remain going into Season 4. How will Team Flash rescue Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) from the Speed Force? What sort of status quo will the show adopt going forward? And how will Season 4's highly anticipated Big Bad, The Thinker, make his Central City debut? We have quite a few theories as to what The Flash could establish in the Season 4 opener, as well as how they could quickly bring Barry back into the fold.

The Flash fans can expect hints of some kind - as well as, possibly, new footage - during the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel later this month. But they will have to wait until Season 4's premiere, on Tuesday, October 10th, at 8/7c, to see Team Flash fully back in action.

Based on the characters from DC, The Flash is from by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Supergirl), Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, The Flash), Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow) and Aaron and Todd Helbing.

Supergirl will return next fall to its regular spot on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The Flash will return to Tuesdays at 8 p.m. in the fall, followed by new episodes of DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9. Arrow will move from its Wednesdays at 8 p.m. time slot to Thursday nights, where it will air following new episodes of Supernatural.
