The LEGO Batman Movie Gets 2 New TV Spots

Batman's name might be rather prominent in the movie's title (it is called The LEGO Batman Movie after all), it's increasingly looking like Robin is going to be the breakaway star.

That might not sit well with LEGO Bruce, but he probably doesn't even know its happening, so everyone just agree not to tell him.

Two new TV spots have released for the upcoming film, with the first being a Happy Chinese New Year promo. All you need to know is that Batman rides a pig, and that should be enough for you to go watch it.

The second clip, "How To Get Adopted", again puts Batman's new role of mentor and sorta-parent in the spotlight, and is a perfect example of how much Robin steals every scene he's in.

You can watch both clips in the videos above.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker's hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

The LEGO Batman Movie is directed by Chris McKay and is written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers, with additional screenplay help from Jared Stern and John Whittington.

The LEGO Batman Movie stars Will Arnett (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Michael Cera (Robin/Dick Grayson), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred Pennyworth), Zach Galifianakis (The Joker), Jenny Slate (Harley Quinn), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl/Barbara Gordon), Billy Dee Williams (Two-Face), and Mariah Carey (Mayor McCaskill). Will Alegra, Ryan Harris, Brad Lewis, John Powers Middleton, and Zareh Nalbandian are executive producing, while Ryan Halprin, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Andrea McCarthy Paul are serving as producers.

The LEGO Batman Movie hits theaters on February 10, 2017.
