Titans Casts Teagan Croft As Its Live-Action Raven

If you have been waiting to see who all will fill up the cast of Titans, then you are in luck! A new report has confirmed newcomer Teagan Croft has been cast as Raven in the live-action DC series.

According to Deadline, Croft secured the coveted role at only 13-years-old, but the actress' resume already has some notable roles. The Australian teen will star in The Osiris Child, an upcoming Aussie film. The actress has also starred in Home and Away, but Titans will mark her breakout role for western audiences.

So far, there is not much known about Titans or its character lineup, but a series of character breakdowns did set up its leads back in June. According to casting calls, Raven is described as being "troubled, bullied, [and] often scared but unwilling to show it."

Titans will bring a new take on Raven after fans fell for the character with the original Teen Titans cartoon. The live-action series will follow Dick Grayson as he rallies a group of new heroes like Starfire and Beast Boy. Raven will join the group, but her telepathic and empathic gifts will be restrained at first. The heroine will refrain from exercising her powers thanks to her demon heritage which could go berserk should Raven lose control of her emotions.

The series is being produced by Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Akiva Goldsman - the same team that behind the DC Universe on The CW. Goldsman has written the script for Titans, and it's expected to premiere in 2018. It will be the first project to debut on DC's direct-to-consumer streaming service.
