Fan films have gained a lot of prominence over the years due to increase in quality, decrease in production values, and tackling genre mashups and character fantasies that were usually reserved for message boards.
So now instead of arguing online about which Joker portrayal is better, the folks at Ismahawk have given you the video to settle those debates.
Jared Leto's Suicide Squad Joker goes up against the late Heath Ledger's portrayal in the Dark Knight, bringing their own iconic goon squads with them for the battle.
Dark Knight Joker has his clown mask-clad robbers flanking his side, while the Suicide Squad version has 'thug life' criminals with him.
The filmmakers behind Nightwing: The Series have also tackled other battles as a part of their Minute Match-Ups segments, such as Hawkeye versus Green Arrow or the Flash versus Quicksilver, but this version portrays two wholly unique versions of the same character with Daddy's Little Monster stuck in the middle.
A gun fight ensues with both Jokers employing tropes, mannerisms, and quotes from their big screen appearances.
It's a fun, short video that answers a question that you undoubtedly have opinions about.
Check it out, and leave your own ratings for both the Suicide Squad and the Dark Knight in our own Movie Database entries below.
