Woman Woman To Introduce Hero's Long-Lost Brother

Earlier this year, fans learned that Wonder Woman's ongoing comic series was losing its creative team. Greg Rucka, Nicola Scott, and Liam Sharp parted ways with the serial, but DC Comics has a plan to bring the heroine back into print soon. Come September, DC Comics will introduce a new creative team to take over Wonder Woman for six-month run, and it will introduce someone Diana never expected to meet.
Earlier today, DC Comics put out an official description of its new story arc 'Children of the Gods,' and it introduces Wonder Woman's long-lost brother. You can read up on the synopsis below:
"Taken away from Themyscira in the dead of night, the mysterious Jason (the only male ever born on the island) has been hidden somewhere far from the sight of gods and men…but his life and Wonder Woman's are about to intersect in a terrifying way, bringing them face-to-face with a cosmic threat they never imagined!"
Of course, fans have known for a bit that Wonder Woman has a twin brother. The fact was revealed in Geoff Johns' DC Universe: Rebirth Special and touched upon in Justice League: Darkseid War as well. Now, Wonder Woman's new creative team will be tasked with exploring the demigod's mysterious origins.
Wonder Woman will see its new team take control with Wonder Woman #31. James Robinson, Carlo Pagulayan, and Emanuela Lupacchino will be in charge of the story. The premiere issue is slated to hit shelves on September 27th.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, Princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).
