Gal Gadot may be recognized for bringing Wonder Woman to life in a standalone film, but the heroine debuted back in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Now, a set photo from the latter film has been released, and it shows Gadot holding up one pricey comic.

Ayman Hariri, the owner of the social media app Vero, posted a photo of him together with Gadot. The picture was taken on the set of Batman v Superman judging by Gadot's outfit, and the actress can be seen holding a copy of Sensation Comics #1.

The throwback photo, which can be seen below, is a nostalgia bomb for any DC fan. If you are fond of the DCEU, then it is a treat to see a new image of Gadot working on set. The photo has the star wearing a familiar outfit as it's the one she wore during Superman's funeral. And, if you look closely, you can see a few gravestones in the photo's background.

If you are a DC Comics purist, then you can appreciate the rare comic which the pair are holding. Sensation Comics #1 is said to mark the first full appearance of Wonder Woman as a leading heroine following her short stint in All-Star Comics #8. There's a clear reason why the issue is wrapping in plastic in Hariri's picture; The comic is surely worth a mortgage or three.

Gadot has already stepped out as Wonder Woman once this year, but the actress isn't done with the heroine just yet. The star will reprise Diana in Justice League when it premiere later this November. A sequel to Wonder Woman is also in the works currently, so fans can expect to see more behind-the-scenes photos of Gadot crop up as the months go on.
