Wonder Woman Movie Gets Moved Up, Two Untitled DC Films Get Release Dates

04/06/2016 12:04 pm EDT

Warner Bros. has moved up the release date of Wonder Woman.

The film has been moved from its June 23, 2017 release and will now open weeks earlier, on June 2, 2017.

Wonder Woman will be Gal Gadot's first solo outting as DC's iconic Amazon princess after debuting in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins.

The shift in release dates means Wonder Woman will no longer be battling Transformers 5 at the box office. Instead, it now shares a release date with Bad Boys 3.

Warner Bros. also slotted two untitled DC Comics movies for Oct. 5, 2018 and Nov. 1, 2019.
