'Wonder Woman' Returning To IMAX For Limited Run

Wonder Woman is nearing the close of its box office run, but fans now have one more chance to see it on an even bigger screen.
The celebrated DCEU film is returning to IMAX for a special one-day showing. IMAX made the announcement with the following caption: "She's back! This Friday, #WonderWoman returns to select IMAX theatres. Find what's playing near you: https://imax.com/theatres ."
From the looks of things, the film seems to be showing at a bevy of locations, so if you want one more chance to see it again on the big screen, now is your chance.
The successful solo debut will be on digital platforms later this month and hits DVD and Blu-ray on September 19th. It still has a bit more time though to pad its numbers, which are already impressive. Wonder Woman's domestic total currently sits at over $404 million, with a worldwide total of over $800 million.
Domestically, the film has been a beast, overtaking other stalwart superhero films like the original Spider-Man, The Dark Knight, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It also recently overtook another two spots on the all-time domestic list, surpassing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ($402 million) and Jurassic Park ($402 million).
The good news is that Warner Bros. is already locking up Patty Jenkins for the sequel, and Geoff Johns revealed at Comic-Con that he's already started work on the script.
No details or hopeful plot points for the sequel have been revealed or teased just yet. Wonder Woman is in theaters now.
