Wonder Woman: See What 1 Month Of Post Production Can Do

Movies require a vast amount of time and effort when it comes to special effects, and much of the fine tuning and shine so to speak is done in post production. Wonder Woman is no different, and this GIF shows the difference a month can make.

Twitter user @SindarMomoa posted a GIF that shows Wonder Woman bringing her bracelets together, calling upon the power of the Gods. This first surfaced in an earlier trailer and has since appeared again in the most recent TV spots. Now that some post-production has been completed the difference can easily be seen. The lightning effects look much bigger and brighter, while the costume and tiara have received some darker textures and color altering as well. Over the scene just looks more impressive and deserving of the Amazon Warrior, and fans can expect that type of effect in the full film when it releases next month.

Wonder Woman held reshoots for a few scenes after full production wrapped, a process that Gal Gadot underwent while pregnant. Director Patty Jenkins recently commented on how impressive the feat was, saying "She's pregnant during part of the movie, in a suit out in a field in the freezing cold in others. There are so many things we asked her to do: Now do it on one foot. Now shout while you're doing it. Now it's raining in the freezing cold and you've lost your voice, go. Every day it was a hilarious gauntlet and she would do it. Now, at least, we will be able to tell her [new] daughter Maya that she's in her mom's stomach right then, in the middle of that battle scene."

Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action-adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).

The DCEU continues with Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
