Zack Snyder Teases Big Batman Fight Scene From Justice League

In a post made to his Vero account, Justice League director Zack Snyder shared an editing bay that appears to show Batman battling it out with Parademons in a scene from the upcoming superhero team-up movie.

It's difficult to be totally sure that these are actually Parademons Batman is squaring off against, but it's a pretty logical assumption to make: the feet and shoulderpads of the creatures he's facing certainly appear to match, at least closely if not identically, the Parademons seen in Batman's "Knightmare" dream sequence during Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The fact that they have no visible wings can be explained away by wings that collapse when they're not in use, like the ones angels used in Constantine (or in any number of other, similar media).

They appear to be somewhat more armored than the Parademons from Batman v Superman, but given the silverish color of the character in the foreground, we have to wonder whether that might be tied to the idea that the same Mother Boxes that Steppenwolf is rumored to be pursuing in the movie gave Cyborg his powers and decidedly metallic-silver color scheme.

The film is in post-production for a November release, although given Snyder's tendency to interact with his audience, fans have seen more peeks at the film than they have at DC's next film project, Patty Jenkins's Wonder Woman.

That film is expected to hit theaters in June and will be the first DC Films release over which DC chief creative officer and president Geoff Johns exercised a lot of control. Johns got his title bump and was moved to the head of Warner Bros.' DC Films division following disappointing reviews for Suicide Squad, which nevertheless was considered a big enough box office hit to spawn both a sequel and a spinoff.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
