The Call of Duty World League Championship is underway in Orlando, with the final rounds set to take place very soon. With that, Astro Gaming decided to take advantage of the hoopla from the tournament and announce a new special headset model that'll go alongside Call of Duty: WWII rather easily a bit later this year.

The company has announced that it has produced a new Call of Duty headset modeled around its latest A10 model, which is available on its website right now. The headset, which goes for $69.99, features an olive-green and black set-up similar to the look of uniforms and gear taken from the World War II era, with a Stars and Stripes-style insignia on one earcup and a broken skull on the other.

The headset works with a number of devices, including PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, and you can see the screenshots for it in the attached gallery. As you can see, it's a pretty sweet looking headset, and it's got the kind of quality you can expect from Astro Gaming, packed into a rather convenient price.

Astro Gaming has made themed headsets for other games in the past, including its best-selling Halo A40 set that continues to be a hot-seller for the Xbox One, and we have a feeling that this Call of Duty headset will fit right in, leading up to the release of Call of Duty: WWII on November 3rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The fact it works for mobile devices and Nintendo Switch is a nice touch, even though that doesn't mean it'll provide instant party chat options, since the publisher has an elaborate set-up with Splatoon 2 and all. Still, for some games that suggest the use of a headset, it'll certainly fit the bill.

We'll be reviewing the general A10 model of Astro Gaming's headset over the next few days, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, there will also be a Call of Duty A40 TR Mod Kit available soon for the general model of the Astro Gaming headset, complete with new ear cushions and a headband, in case you want to tweak one you might own.
