Destiny 2’s Curse Of Osiris Cinematic Sets The Stage For An Epic Battle

Earlier today, Bungie hosted a live-stream for the upcoming Curse of Osiris downloadable content that will be making its way to Destiny 2 on PlayStation 4 next month, and it also debuted a new cinematic that features Osiris, along with his Ghost assistant Sagira. You can view it above, but here's a quick breakdown of what you can expect from the trailer.
It begins with soldiers battling it out, between a group of Hunters and robots. But then, suddenly, the action freezes up all around, and Osiris and Sagira make their entry through a mysterious portal.
The two have a quick conversation about what's happening with the fight, before they move on to their purpose – but not before Sagira adjusts a robot's aim and shows off a little of her personality. (You can credit Deadpool's Morena Baccarin for that, along with Oded Fehr.)
Osiris then comes across a puzzle, which he's slightly frustrated in resolving at first, but eventually puts it together. Once he does, he takes a look at another portal image, and gets a glimpse at something terrifying – though Sagira, nor the viewers, really get an idea of what it is.
Before the duo can react, the robots and soldiers begin to unfreeze, and Osiris scrambles into battle, with Sagira giving him directions and assistance. He lights up in flames and executes special attacks, before he gets closer to the portal.
The two have a quick conversation, with Osiris explaining that if the Vexx win, it's "the end of everything". He then sees another portal open, and insists Sagira leaves without him. He eventually throws her through it, but not before she takes a blast from one of the enemies, leaving her wiped out in the desert. Osiris' fate is unknown, but Sagira is left on the steps of what appears to be a mighty artifact – with the portal still open.
This no doubt will set the stage for the epic fight to come for players that tackle the Curse of Osiris, so make sure you stock up on some good weapons before you jump in.
Curse of Osiris releases on December 5th for PlayStation 4, and at a later date for PC and Xbox One. Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
