Update: Red Hood release date confirmed with additional details. More here.

NetherRealm Studios is hosting our first Watchtower livestream since the launch of Injustice 2 on consoles, and after the game's enormous reception from critics and fans alike, we're looking forward to hearing more about our upcoming roster of DLC characters. Hopefully the team will dive in to DLC a bit today, so let's watch together below:

While we can't say for sure that Tyler and the NetherRealm crew will be spilling the beans on upcoming DLC, we know we have plenty of new information to chew on thanks to a huge update that went live recently.

The Injustice 2 update brought with it many changes, balancing, tweaks, and of course, some brand new teases. No matter what is discussed today, we know that there are many fans wondering how these buffs and nerfs will affect their favorite characters or their favorite gear loadouts. We also expect to hear more about future updates and what NetherRealm has been hearing from its community.

Along with the update came a torrent of images flooding the internet of gear loadouts for Red Hood, and a few new DLC silhouettes on the character select screen that we haven't seen before. Some of the shapes looked to belong very clearly to Black Manta, Raiden, and Atom, so we're hoping that fans have made a big enough buzz about it that Tyler will be compelled to address the rumors during the stream. We won't hold our breath, though.

If we don't get to learn about our mysterious new DLC fighters today, then we'll likely get to see them soon. NetherRealm very rarely just annoucnes any of its new characters -- they tend to opt for the fancy cinematic trailers instead, and we're perfectly okay with that. For what it's worth, the silhouettes for Black Manta, Atom, and Raiden seem like sure bets, but NetherRealm has a proven history of intentionally misleading fans with silhouettes, so we're being very careful to manage our expectations.

Stay tuned to WWG for all things Injustice 2!
