The fan response to Street Fighter V has been somewhat mixed (to say the least), but Capcom is sticking by the game with a steady flow of new fighters and updates. Street Fighter V is still only halfway through its Season 2 content, but we're already hearing rumblings about which characters may be coming in Season 3.

According to Event Hubs, a poster on their forums by the name of Flowtron has teased both Sagat and Sakura will be among the Street Fighter V Season 3 fighters. Flowtron has been the source of a bunch of recent Street Fighter V insider info, including the early reveal that Ed would be the most recent addition to the roster. He's also teased Final Fight boss Abigail, Street Fighter Alpha fighter Zeku, and all-new character Menat will be the remaining three additions for SFV Season 2. Maybe this guy is just a good guesser, but it seems like he has some legit sources providing him with info.

Almost as interesting as the addition of Sagat and Sakura are Flowtron's revelations about who won't be coming in Street Fighter V Season 3. According to him, Street Fighter IV's Crimson Viper and Street Fighter III's Oro, Necro, and Q aren't in the works, despite being hinted at by another source. So, if you were hoping for a major Street Fighter III infusion for Season 3, keep hoping.

Buy hey, Sagat and Sakura are big additions! Obviously, Sagat was one of Street Fighter V's most glaring omissions, with most people expecting him to be one of the first DLC characters, but no dice. Sakura isn't quite as iconic a Sagat, but she's the mascot for the Street Fighter Alpha series, and a fan-favorite in her own right.

Street Fighter V Season 2 kicked off on December 20, 2016, so you can probably expect Season 3 to begin around the same time this year. Each new season costs $30 and includes six new fighters and a variety of other updates.
