Agents Of SHIELD Season 4 Episode 2: Meet The New Boss Sneak Preview

The first episode from Agents of SHIELD Season Four just dropped, but fans are already being teased with next week's episode. The series will return next week with "Meet The New Boss," and a sneak preview for the second episode is out now.

As the title suggests, "Meet The New Boss" introduces Jason O'Mara as the new Director of SHIELD. Following Phil Coulson's demotion in Season Three, fresh blood was brought onto the series to take over the newly legitimized SHIELD. The mystery leader was talked about a lot in the debut of Season Four, so it's about time viewers got to meet the man himself and hopefully learn his name.

Long before Season Four debut, Marvel Television and ABC teased fans with stills from "Meet The New Boss." The pictures showed Jason in-character meeting with Coulson in what looks like a fairly friendly meeting. However, as this is Agents of SHIELD we are talking about, fans must remember that everything isn't what it seems.

Several other photos from the second episode were also released. Agent Melinda May can be seen training her specialized division of SHIELD Agents while Mack and Fitz can be found doing science.

When Jason O'Mara was brought onto Agents of SHIELD as the new Director, Jeph Loeb gushed over the actor's involvement. The executive producer and Marvel TV Vice-President told Deadline, "Bringing Jason into the mix as the New Director of SHIELD forces everyone, particularly Coulson, to reevaluate their role in the Agency."

Daisy goes to battle Ghost Rider at a terrible cost, and Coulson faces the new Director, and his bold agenda surprises them all.

Agents of SHIELD returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all new time period, Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they've ever faced – an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman, Lincoln Campbell.

Agents of SHIELD Season 4 airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
