Ant-Man And The Wasp Filming Locale May Tie Into Avengers 4

Not only will Ant-Man and The Wasp be connected Captain Marvel in terms of the science behind each film, but a location of the next effort from director Peyton Reed and company might just be tying directly in to the untitled Avengers 4 film.

Ant-Man and The Wasp, which went into production earlier this week, sent out a casting call (spotted by Omega Underground) calling for "Asian Looking School Kids" shooting on August 5th and August 7th of this year.

Avengers 4 has elements which are filmed in Japan.

To avoid getting too far into conclusion territory, it is important to point out that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has invoked other Asian locations, such as China and South Korea, in the past. However, the jokes or references to iconic Japanese kaiju legends like Godzilla practically write themselves with Giant-Man or Goliath coming into the mix in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Ant-Man and The Wasp filming in Atlanta at the same time as Avengers 4, it is not unlike the film will be heavily tied into the concluding half of the films which serve as the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"They're all big," Avengers: Infinity War director Joe Russo told ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. "It's important for both movies to be distinctly different. It's important for them to have different tones, and different narratives, and different surprises for the audience. We've worked really hard with [writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley] at ensuring that the films are tonally different and structurally different."

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: Ant-Man and The Wasp. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
