Ant-Man And The Wasp: New Details Hint At Film's Villains & Love Interests

Next month, Ant-Man will shrink back into his suit when production on the hero's next movie begins. Marvel Studios will begin production on Ant-Man and the Wasp in July, prompting fans to hone in on any early rumors about the project. Now, a few reported details about the movie have hit the Internet, and the notes have fans eyeing some new characters.

Over on MCU Exchange, the site claims a source of theirs has provided info about Ant-Man and the Wasp's new characters. The site reports that Hannah John-Kamen is playing someone named Dawn who is described as "charismatic, eccentric, unpredictable, and damaged." The site notes there are no obvious Marvel characters associated with Dawn, but fans can make a case for John-Kamen playing Dawn Starr.

In the comics, the surname Starr is of note thanks to Elihas Starr. The man is known as Egghead to most readers, and he acts as a villain to Ant-Man. It could be that Dawn will play a relative of Egghead's as Ant-Man and the Wasp tries to make the slapstick villain more serious.

The report claims John-Kamen will be playing one of three new characters in the Ant-Man sequel. The film is also expected to introduce Janet van Dyne in a more substantial role. The iconic Marvel character was briefly shown in the first Ant-Man film when the Wasp sacrificed herself to the Quantum Realm during a mission. The sequel may delve further into his MIA status as Hank Pym gains the nerve to search for Janet one more time.

As for the third character, it looks like Ant-Man and the Wasp may bring in a new love interest. A character named Victoria has been rumored, and she is described as being both unhinged and smart. The report suggests Victoria will be a love interest for Luis as Scott Lang's best friend has already been confirmed for the sequel.
