Paul Rudd Celebrates Ant-Man And The Wasp Filming With Doctor Strange Set Video

Ant-Man and the Wasp, one of Marvel Studios' next ventures, officially began production earlier this week. And it appears that Paul Rudd, who reprises his role as Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the film, had another superhero pal there with him - for a pretty sweet reason.

Rudd recently posted a video on his Facebook of him wishing Fletcher, a young fan, a happy birthday. At the end of the video, Rudd joked about how 'strange' it would be if he was shooting an Avengers film - before panning over to show none other than Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange.

You can check out the video below.

It's safe to assume that Cumberbatch will not be reprising his Doctor Strange role in Ant-Man and the Wasp, although it isn't entirely out of the question. At this point, Cumberbatch and Rudd were probably just both in Atlanta, with filming on Avengers 4 set to commence very shortly.

But with the pair's characters caught teaming up on the set of Avenger: Infinity War, it's certainly not out of the question.

Check out the official synopsis for Ant-Man and the Wasp, below:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: "Ant-Man and The Wasp." In the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War," Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

The film will be directed by Peyton Reed, with a story by Adam McKay and Paul Rudd and screenplay by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.

The film stars Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp, with Michael Pena, Michael Douglas, David Dastmalchian, and Tip 'T.I.' Harris reprising their roles from Ant-Man's first installation. Joining the cast are Michelle Pfeiffer as the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne, Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster/Goliath, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, and Hannah John-Kamen as The Ghost.
