Avengers: Infinity War Set Photos Shows Science & Beard Bros Together

Avengers: Infinity War has been filming for quite some time, but much is still unknown about the upcoming Marvel Studios epic. However, a recent set photo indicates that fans will be seeing quite a bit of a particular quartet.

The Associated Press was recently on the Atlanta, Georgia set for the film, and captured quite a few photos of Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), Benedict Cumberbatch (Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange), and Benedict Wong (Wong). You can check out the photos below.

It appears that the group of four are walking amongst some sort of wreckage in New York City, although its unclear exactly in what context. Also seen on set was the 'practical suit' that stands in for the Iron Man armor, possibly hinting that a battle of some kind has already taken place.

This scene could easily be tied to filming that was also done on the set of Doctor Strange's New York Sanctum Sanctorum, which saw a collaboration between Strange's director, Scott Derrickson, and Infinity War helmers Joe and Anthony Russo.

The recent grouping of Cumberbatch, Downey Jr., and Ruffalo is particularly interesting, as it gives fans a small indication of their significance to the film's plot. Some have begun to theorize that the film will introduce a version of Marvel's Illuminati, with the three superheroes serving as some of the group's core founders.

We'll learn more as we get closer to the release date for Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018.

The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos.
