Tom Holland Teases Spider-Man's Role With Avengers: Infinity War

Next year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will celebrate its tenth birthday with a bang. The blockbusting franchise is set to release Avengers: Infinity War next May, a movie which will shift the MCU into a climatic battle against Thanos. The ensemble flick will see Earth's mightiest heroes team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy and more. Spider-Man is one such hero who will help defend the planet from the Mad Titan, but fans have wondered just how involved the teenage hero is with the movie.

If you have asked yourself that same question, then you don't need to guess any longer. During a recent chat with Yahoo Movies, Tom Holland opened up about his involved work on the Avengers flick. And, if the star's words mean anything, it is that Spider-Man will be working very closely with his MCU predecessors.

"It's been crazy, man. It's been a really, really surreal experience," Holland told the site after being asked about his work on Avengers.

"When I did Civil War, I only worked with Chris and Robert very briefly. Everyone else was sort of like, I was acting with a tennis ball or all this sort of stuff. I saw everyone, but I never got to work with them," he continued.

"For this now, I'm in a situation where I'm on set with all these guys doing scenes, fighting bad guys. It's been a real whirlwind. It's been a lot of fun."

Judging by Holland's words, Spider-Man will have a bigger role than just a glorified cameo. The actor said he has met up with most of the film's cast and that Peter Parker will go head-to-head with villains. There's no telling if the baddie Spider-Man fights is Thanos or the alien's henchmen, but it definitely sounds like the vigilante will get some action.
