Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange Figure Revealed By Hot Toys

One of the perks of joining a blockbuster franchise seems to be getting your very own action figure. Seeing yourself immortalized in plastic and on a store shelf must be surreal, but that has nothing on getting your own Hot Toys figure.

Attention to detail in the costume and likeness departments is what Hot Toys is known for, and their recent reveal at San Diego Comic-Con is no different. At the Hot Toys booth, fans got their first look at the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe line of figures, Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange.

Seeing this figure must be like looking in a mirror for Cumberbatch, as the likeness to the popular actor is spot on, and the figure isn't even finalized yet. This will be the first appearance of the character in any Hot Toys line, so it must be nice to have it be based off of your likeness.

In addition to all of the articulation and costume work that goes into one of these figures, Doctor Strange also comes with his Book of Vishanti , an attachable spell effect for his hand (as seen in the trailer), and two Eye of Agamotto pendants, one that is opened and one that is closed.

The only thing average about this figure is its base, but again, this is a prototype, so that might change in the final production. You can view additional photos of the stellar figure in the gallery.

Doctor Strange releases in theatres on November 4th.
