Black Cat, Silver Sable Film Rumored To Feature Major Spider-Man Characters

If all goes well, Sony Pictures will usher in a new era of Marvel blockbusters starting this year. In just a few months, the studio will partner with Marvel Studios to bring Spider-Man: Homecoming to theaters, and that is just the start. Earlier this year, Sony confirmed it was moving forward with its own in-house cinematic universe with Spider-Man icons such as Venom, Black Cat, and Silver Sable. Tom Hardy has already been brought on to play the former character whilst details get worked out for Black Cat and Silver Sable's theatrical debut. And, now, a new rumor is suggesting the femme fatals will be joined on-screen by other famous Spider-Man alumni.

Thanks to a tip from Splash Report, fans have learned the Black Cat and Silver Sable spinoff may feature some big Marvel names. One of the site's sources dished alleged details about the film, and the report states that characters like Norman Osborn, Kraven the Hunter, Spider-Woman, and more will make an appearance in the film.

For now, there is no confirmation about this report's validity from any official source. Sony is keeping its impending Spider-Man films close to chest, but the studio recently made an announcement about the Black Cat, Silver Sable flick. Last week, news broke that Gina Prince-Bythewood is helmed the direct the movie. For now, Sony is referring to the film as Silver and Black, but the designation may be filler until further work is put into the film.

The official Spider-Man: Homecoming synopsis is listed below.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, and Hannibal Buress.
