First Look At Black Panther In Action In New Set Video And Photos

The King of Wakanda is also his nation's protector, and T'Challa isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty. Sure, he could send one of his Dora Milaje or even the Hatut Zeraze if someone needs to get a beating.

But sometimes a person has to do the work themselves, and that could mean riding on top of a moving car. It might not be regal, but sometimes that's what it takes to get the job done.

The latest set photos and videos from Ryan Coogler's Black Panther show the character, played by Chadwick Boseman, in an action sequence in which a car flies down a South Korean street while the Panther clutches on the roof.

It looks like a risky stunt, so it's probably not Boseman under the mask, but it could be. Let's not presume, though.

This is the first, best look we've had at the Black Panther on the set of his solo film, which is shaping up to be an action spectacle worthy of the Marvel Studios banner.

It could also be related to the previous set video that we reported in which a member of the Panther's bodyguards, the Dora Milaje, is perched atop a vehicle, ready to do battle with an unseen foe.

We're likely a ways away from the first trailer, which we could probably see tagged with Thor: Ragnarok when it hits theaters in November. At this point, production is looking good, though. We're just excited to finally visit the world of Wakanda and get a glimpse at the King's duties in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Black Panther is scheduled to hit theaters February 16, 2018.
