Black Panther: Scene Details Revealed About South Korean Shooting Location

With Marvel's Black Panther underway, details about the massive blockbuster continue to trickle in each day. So far, the project is settled down in Atlanta for production, but the film will make its way to other shooting locations in coming months. One of those locales will be South Korea, and fans have just learnt what kind of scenes will be filmed in the buzzing country.

That's right! We're get another patented chase scene from Black Panther himself. Move over Captain America! The Wakandan hero has other criminals to track down.

Thanks to a report by Variety, fans know that Black Panther will be filming in South Korea's southern metropolis of Busan. The port city will host a massive chase scene, and local landmarks like Gwangalli beach, Gwangan Bridge, and the Jagalchi Fish Market will be seen in the montage.

"The shoot, which will involve some 150 cars and more than 700 people, is a car chase scene with the protagonist and the villain," said production service company Mr. Romance Film. "It will also involve helicopter(s) and guns (firing blanks) and may cause noise as well as traffic restrictions."

The Busan Film Commission also released a statement about filming, "Last November, the city invited Darrin Prescott, the film's second unit director, to pitch Busan as the film's potential shooting location."

Of course, this is not the first time fans have heard about Black Panther's plans for Korea. In January, Yonhap News Agency first reported that the movie would be coming to South Korea for filming. And, prior to BBlack Panther, Marvel Studios has filmed in the booming country for other notable projects. Most memorably, Avengers: Age of Ultron shot in Seoul for part of its production schedule.

"Black Panther follows T'Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T'Challa's mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk."
