'Captain America’: Chris Evans Reuniting With His Dog Is The Purest Thing Ever

Chris Evans has won the hearts of millions thanks to his stint as Captain America, but the actor just made the whole world swoon in a new video. The actor took to social media earlier today to share a touching reunion clip, and it is the purest thing you will see today.

Over on Twitter, Evans shared a short video taken of him as he came home after filming on-location for ten weeks. The footage shows a bearded Evans rolling on the floor as his beloved dog, Dodger, freaks out over his dad's long-awaited return.

As the actor's fans admit, they have grown to love the actor's updates about Dodger. The Internet even went into a period of mourning earlier this year when Evans made it sound as if Dodger had passed away, and the relief was real when the star cleared up the confusion. Dodger was totally fine; He was just really missing his human.

As you can see in the video above, Evans' pup is more than alright now that the actor is home. The dog is even seen jumping as he tries to keep Evans on the ground in prime nose-kisses position. And, of course, the actor is powerless to do anything against his best friend's affection.

The video of Evans' reunion with Dodger has already gone viral; The video racked up nearly 10,000 retweets within a minute of it being posted.

Of course, some of the actor's fans were anticipating the reunion. Evans has posted several countdowns on Twitter about his return home. Back in August, the actor shared two candid selfies of himself with Dodger along with the caption "17 more days."

It's no clear where Evans has been holed up filming for the last ten weeks, but Avengers 4 does come to mind. The film is currently in production down in Atlanta, but Evans is also working on other projects at this time. Hopefully, Dodger will be able to visit all of them instead of having to part with Evans again.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres in theaters on November 3.
