Captain Marvel: Brie Larson Reveals Her Reaction To Seeing Wonder Woman

Brie Larson won't spill the beans on Captain Marvel, but she did reveal her stance on DC's latest DCEU project.

That, of course, would be Wonder Woman, which has succeeded both critically and commercially. Larson was asked about the film in an interview with USA Today, specifically her reaction when she finally saw it on the big screen.

"I sobbed, like, seven times," said Larson. "It just felt really important. It felt like something I hadn't seen."

Larson doesn't feel though that Wonder Woman adds pressure to Captain Marvel, as the concept itself of a woman opening a big budget film is something fans and studios should be accustomed to.

When asked about the extra pressure Larson said, "Why is there pressure? I don't understand why there's pressure put on women as if it's the most shocking concept ever that a woman can open a movie — it's like, it's kind of a tired concept. We've proven it for a long time, so I don't put pressure on in that way at all."

Wonder Woman continues to impress at the box office, even this late into its run. The film has now passed $400 million stateside, and will soon pass the original Spider-Man. It even has a chance to surpass Captain America: Civil War, which currently sits at $408 million domestic.

Soon fans will be able to see Marvel's powerful heroine follow Wonder Woman's lead, and her debut can't get here soon enough.
