Deadpool 2 has hit some early creative speedbumps - and one of them was rumored to be the casting of iconic X-Men movie character Cable in the film.

Regardless of whether the rumors of creative differences and casting troubles is true or not, X-Men fans are eagerly waiting to see who actually gets cast as Cable in Deadpool 2 and the larger X-Men movie universe - and now we may have an answer.

As you can see, Ryan Reynolds is either teasing or trolling fans with this image. It shows Reynolds and Logan star Hugh Jackman (aka Wolverine) hanging out with none other than former James Bond star, Pierce Brosnan.

Jackman has also added fuel to the fire, by dropping this post of his own:

Needless to say, having Pierce Brosnan playing Cable would be a much different choice than most fans' wish-list casting of actors like Stephen Lang, Jon Hamm or Gerard Butler. Since this is in no way shape or form an official casting announcement, we're free to simply discuss the possibilities: so what do you think? Pierce Brosnan playing Cable, can you see it working? Can you see the former Bond having great banter and chemistry with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool?
