The Defenders Wrap Photos Reveal Possible New Promo Art, Logo

Over the weekend, news surfaced that production on Marvel's The Defenders had been completed and the wrap party had taken place.

Now a new photo from that wrap party has given fans a first look at some new promotional artwork for the crossover television series. The photo comes from the Instagram account of Y-Cats & Jayse Craft Service, which catered the wrap party event and shows a new piece of artwork by Marvel's chief creative officer Joe Quesada.

Quesada has created poster art for each of Marvel's four Netflix series so far. With this latest piece, Quesada gets to bring all four of the Defenders together – Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Michael Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) – and set them in front of the series' villain, Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver) and what look like Elektra (Elodie Yung) off to the side. Each Defender is color-coded to their series dominant color aesthetic – Daredevil's red, Jessica Jones' purple, Luke Cage's yellow, and Iron Fist's green.

You'll notice that cake sitting in front of the poster as well. The cake features nods to each Defender as well – Daredevil's glasses, whiskey for Jessica Jones, bullet holes for Luke Cage, and the symbol of Shou-Lao the Undying for Iron Fist – as well as the Marvel and Netflix logos.

In addition, actress Elodie Yung also took a photo of a souvenir she took from the Defenders set. It is a winter hat with a Defenders logo on the front. The logo is very similar to the previously revealed Defenders logo, but less distressed and with sharper points on the letters. Whether this is hinting at a more mystical and less street-level threat for the series or just an alteration made because the other logo was too intricate for a winter hat is unknown.

Marvel's the Defenders, which brings together all of Marvel's Netflix stars, including Iron Fist (Finn Jones) Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Luke Cage (Mike Colter), to protect New York City from its greatest threat yet.

Marvel's The Defenders will be released on Netflix in 2017.
