Doctor Strange Mid-Credits Scene Features Classic Costume Easter Egg

Marvel fans are getting another taste of the mystical, now that Doctor Strange is available on digital streaming an download. Fans have been able to get their own more detailed look at the cinematic origin story of Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme, and they're starting to pick out fun Easter eggs we all missed during the movie's theatrical run.

Case in point: one eagle-eyed Reddit user posted this screen shot comparison, which clearly reveals that Stephen Strange's full-fledged costume (seen in Doctor Strange's end credits scene featuring Chris Hemsworth's Thor) is actually a paying more homage to the comics than we thought.

The insignia doesn't have any apparent significance, other than giving fan yet another nod to the legacy of Marvel Comics, which is something they always enjoy. Funny enough, the same Reddit thread quickly turns to concern over the look of Strange's gloves, which is apparently an ongoing debate in the fan community.

The cast features Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, Star Into Darkness, The Imitation Game), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Holmes), Michael Stuhlbarg (A Serious Man), Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale), and Tilda Swinton (The Grand Budapest Hotel).

The film is directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister) and written by Derrickson, Jon Spaihts (Prometheus), and C. Robert Cargill (Sinister).

Doctor Strange is now on Digital Download and Streaming.
