EXCLUSIVE: First Look At Deadpool Vs Kraven

The whole alien symbiote possession thing isn't for everyone, but Deadpool seems to be handling things just fine. Well, at least he was before Kraven showed up.

Kraven's Last Hunt is one of the classic Spider-Man stories, and now that he's got the black symbiote on his side, Deadpool is looking to cross horns with Kraven in Deadpool: Back in Black #4. While Spider-Man didn't have an uzi and a katana in his Kraven throwdown, that doesn't mean he's going to just throw in the towel, and Deadpool should more than have his hands full.

Kraven's Second to Last Hunt fits right in with the other 1980's centered stories that writer Cullen Bunn has set up for Wade, including the webhead himself in issue #5.

"This series takes place in the 80s, so I wanted the stories, guest stars, and villains to represent that timeline. This also gave me the opportunity to use a few characters we don't see much of these days. I've always wanted to write classic Power Pack, because I love those characters. But I've also always wanted to write an Obnoxio the Clown story, and he works well with both Deadpool and Power Pack. Other characters who will appear are Machine Man, Black Cat, and Kraven the Hunter. And it would seem like Spider-Man would show up at some point, doesn't it? In addition, there will be some new characters and some more modern characters who we'll learn have been bumping around the Marvel Universe since the 80s."

Deadpool: Back In Black #4 is written by Cullen Bunn with art from Salvador Espin, and will hit stores on November 30. You can view the official series description below.

During 1984's SECRET WARS, Deadpool was introduced to an alien symbiote who went on to become Spider-Man's black costume and, eventually, Venom. Okay, okay, maybe that really happened in DEADPOOL'S SECRET SECRET WARS. Point is, did you know that after Spider-Man rejected the costume…it went slinking back to Deadpool on the rebound? And they went on adventures together? You didn't? Well, you will, now, thanks to this series by Cullen Bunn (The DEADPOOL KILLOGY) & Salva Espin (DEADPOOL & THE MERCS FOR MONEY)!
