Guardians Of The Galaxy Director James Gunn Praises Thor: Ragnarok

James Gunn took to his Facebook page for a bit earlier today to respond and answer fan questions, and in the process revealed his thoughts on fellow Marvel Studios director Taika Waititi's installment of the Thor franchise.

During the Q&A, he revealed his favorite film out of the Oscar contenders, stressed caution when looking at IMDB listings, and refused to say who Sylvester Stallone was playing.

Gunn did, however, reveal how he felt about this November's Thor: Ragnarok.

Taika Waititi turned heads over the last few years with his hilarious films What We Do In The Shadows and the amazing Hunt for the Wilderpeople. It's only fitting that he was given a shot at a big budget studio film.

Gunn seems to be happy that Marvel nabbed him up before anyone else did.

He also said that he's working out the details for whatever his next film might be, with nothing to announce.

Right now Gunn is gearing up for the release of the Marvel Cinematic Universe reunion of Tango & Cash—also known as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2—starring Stallone and Kurt Russell, among others.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
