Arguably one of the most surprising names that appears on the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack is David Hasselhoff. While the actor, singer, and 80s icon goes hand in hand with the movie's throwback aesthetic, many did not expect the star to be lending his voice talents to the track 'Guardians Inferno.'

And now, Hasselhoff has spoken out about his appearance on Awesome Mix Vol. 2 - and possibly hinted that he's even further involved with the film.

The actor was part of tonight's Los Angeles premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and teased what sounds like some sort of appearance in the film itself, after sharing a story about visiting the film's set.

"I can't tell you much about my association with the movie," Hasselhoff teased, "but check it out. You're gonna like it."

As for how he was attached to the project in the first place, Hasselhoff revealed that it was inspired by a personal connection that Vol. 2's director James Gunn had with one of the actor's biggest credits.

"James Gunn, when he was eight years old, watched a show called Knight Rider." Hasselhoff explained. "And because of that show, he kinda wooed into singing the main title song, which I've already cut, and it's really fun, and he wrote that. And I got to know him and his parents and the whole Marvel gang. And what I'm allowed to tell you is that it was a really great experience."
