06/13/2016 12:00 am EDT
Today is Kodi Smit-McPhee's birthday.
Smit-McPhee was introduced to the X-universe this year as the X-Men's resident blue-skinned mutant Nightcrawler in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. Nightcrawler was one of several X-Men in the franchise to get a revamping, along with Cyclops and Jean Grey.
Outside of X-Men, Smit-McPhee is probably best known for his role in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as Alexander but has also starred in projects like The Road, Let Me In, and ParaNorman (as the voice of Norman). His next project is the Albert Hughes Directed The Solutrean.
Born in Adelaide, Austrailia, Smit-McPhee turns 20 today. Happy Birthday, Kodi Smit-McPhee.
