Hugh Jackman Was Given A NSFW Wrap Gift From Wolverine: Origins

While it varies from set to set, there is a well-known tradition that takes place upon the conclusion of a motion picture called the Wrap party. Some stars even get a gift to commemorate the event, but most can't say they've ever received a gift like Hugh Jackman did.

Jackman's latest and final film as Wolverine, the James Mangold-directed Logan, is doing quite well in theaters, but the gift in question was actually for his first solo outing, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film isn't looked at fondly by fans or critics, but it did have a few scenes that are well liked. That includes the scenes involving Weapon X, where Logan escapes the facility after emerging from a pool of water after the adamantium bonding process. Most would wear some sort of flesh-colored clothing for the scene, but not Jackman, who decided to go fully nude.

That footage did not make the film, of course, thanks to the rating, but Jackman did get to see it again in an unexpected way. In a 2009 interview with Howard Stern (via THR), Jackman reveals he was offered some covering but said "It's just like college," and opted to go without. He also revealed his surprising wrap party gift, saying "When we finished the film, my wrap gift from the director [Gavin Hood] was a bag which had all the film cut off with my dick in it, " Jackman said. "So, I got frames of film, and I am looking, going, 'OK, hello!'"

Oh, and if you're wondering about size, his reply to Stern was "It's pretty good, I think. I'm fine."

As for Logan, the film is currently enjoying an 88.36 on ComicBook.com's composite rankings.

Logan takes place in the year 2024, where mutant births have become extremely rare. The defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan. Logan's vaunted healing factor has slowed, and at times doesn't seem to work at all. When a young mutant needs his help, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more. His job isn't over yet.

Logan stars Hugh Jackman (Logan), Boyd Holbrook (Donald Pierce), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Dafne Keen (Laura Kinney/X-23), Doris Morgado (Maria), Stephen Merchant (Caliban), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Gabriela), and Richard E. Grant (Dr. Zander Rice). James Mangold is directing and helped on the screenplay along with Scott Frank and Michael Green.

Logan is now playing in theaters.
