'Avengers: Infinity War' Directors Respond To Thanos Creator's Cameo Plea

It was only yesterday that we shared that Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos and primary architect behind The Infinity Gauntlet comic run, wanted to appear in Avengers: Infinity War. We didn't have to wait long for Anthony and Joe Russo, the brothers at the helm of Infinity War, to respond to Starlin's request.

A post featuring the Infinity Gauntlet omnibus alongside the Infinity War logo appeared on the brother's joint Facebook page today. As the post reads, the brothers said they are ready for Starlin's "close up."

In addition to being credited as the creator of Thanos, Starlin has brought two of the Guardians of the Galaxy to life: Drax the Destroyer and Gamora, the deadliest woman in the universe.

Starlin last popped into the spotlight as he commented on the amount of money he received from DC Entertainment for KGBeast's very minor appearance in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. With Stan Lee, the godfather of the House of Ideas and mini-appearance maestro having appeared in over in 30 cameos, Starlin has a lot of work to do to play catch-up. Regardless, it's solid sign that the Russo's acknowledged Starlin's request.
