'Inhumans'/'Agents of SHIELD' Crossover Might Happen

The Inhuman Royal Family might have just made their big (and small) screen debut, but their presence was already teased in Marvel's first television show a couple of years ago.

The second season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuted the concepts of Inhumans and Terrigenesis, the process which gives them their powers. Though that show will not immediately tie into the events of Marvel's The Inhumans, there is a foundation to build a future crossover.

Showrunner Scott Buck recently spoke with CBR about how the two shows affect each other and whether or not we could see the two worlds interact more closely.

" I think it's fun in a way. I think it's fun, and that they, without even realizing it, sort of teased out our show a little bit, in a way," Buck said. "It was certainly not their intention, but it proved very fortuitous that way, that people who watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are already sort of familiar with Terrigenesis. And now we get to bring you the world where it all comes from, so that's definitely fun.

"Sure, some time in the future, there may be some sort of [crossover] — as it is right now, we stand completely alone and separate from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but who knows what the future might bring?"

Though the early reviews and initial box office haul for The Inhumans debut in IMAX theaters are not as promising as Marvel Television might have hoped, the show still has yet to debut on the ABC Network where it has a greater chance to find an audience.

The show still has every chance of being successful, though the IMAX experiment might not be used once again.

Should Marvel and ABC decide to make another season of the series, we could probably see Daisy, Coulson, May, and the rest of the team stop by Attilan and pay a visit to the Inhuman king, be it Maximus or Black Bolt.

The Inhumans is now playing in IMAX Theaters and premieres on ABC on September 29.
