When it comes to Marvel's various Netflix programs, comic book fans are always looking out for one thing: costumes. From Daredevil to Jessica Jones, these superhero stories have taken iconic Marvel heroes and reimagined their worlds in New York. While Daredevil did give fans a look at Matt Murdock's classic red get-up, the site's other projects have been more lax in giving its character's costumes. But, now, fans can get a close-up look at what could have been for Iron Fist.

So, warning! Spoilers for Iron Fist lie below!

If you have seen Iron Fist, your binge session may have left you feeling a bit cheated. While fans had hoped the opposite would happen, Danny Rand was never shown suited up in his classic comic book costume. There were no wild yellow collars or tight green spandex in sight. Still, there was a short scene in Iron Fist which did show a previous iteration of the hero dressed in the costume - and now fans can see it in color.

The Netflix series only briefly showed actor Johnny Yan in the costume through staticky, black-and-white footage. However, it seems the costume looks much better in person. Over on Instagram, the actor and stuntman posted a photo of him behind-the-scenes wearing Iron Fist's costume with several co-stars. The crew definitely seems happy enough to be standing around the Iron Fist, but the extras didn't get to keep that feeling for long.

After all, the footage did show the Iron Fist bashing up the Chinese soldiers as they sought entry into K'un Lun. On that day, the mystical hero just wasn't having any invasion attempts.

Speaking to SFX Magazine, the showrunner of Iron Fist did let fans know that Danny would not don his famous suit just yet.

"There was no good reason we could imagine to put Danny Rand in a costume," Buck told the outlet. "Because Danny Rand is still discovering who he is as a hero and where he is going to be, so he's not yet ready to put on a mask or a costume."

Buck added, "He is someone who is rather well known as a billionaire, so he can't necessarily go out in public and do the things he does without being recognized. It does become an issue for the character."
