The Immortal (Costumed) Iron Fist
SPOILERS: At the end of The Defenders, Danny is seen taking up the role that Daredevil has left vacant after his seeming death during the Midland Circle battle. When we see Danny patrolling rooftops of Hell's Kitchen, he's wearing a track suit that's reminiscent of his costume in more recent years of Marvel Comics.
According to Finn Jones, Iron Fist Season Two could expand on the costumed aspect of the character:
"I think the way that we're telling our version of Danny's story is there's a real progression," Jones said. "The first season of Iron Fist, he doesn't even really know what a superhero is, let alone identify himself as one. It's not until Defenders and when he meets the three superheroes, that he kind of goes, 'Oh, you can actually do something with these abilities. You can find a purpose.'
And when asked if there will be a more iconic Iron Fist costume in Season Two, Jones said:
"It will. And look, I'm not the writer for this show, nor am I the executive producer. So unfortunately these things don't fall on my head. But from an actor's distinct perspective, I certainly think that will happen within, hopefully, Season Two."
Iron Fist Season Two has been announced, with new showrunner Raven Metzner (Sleepy Hollow) replacing Scott Buck. No word yet on when production will begin, or when it will premiere on Netflix.
