Karen Gillan And Pom Klementieff Discuss Joining The Guardians Of The Galaxy

The beloved crew of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, And Groot are all returning for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, as is their enemy from the first film, Nebula. This time around though she's seemingly on their side, at least for the time being, and that's in addition to the group picking up a new member in Mantis.

Actresses Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Pom Klementieff (Mantis) sat down with ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis to talk about their feelings on joining the team. For Klementieff the experience has been "Amazing, I had an amazing time." Gillan feels the same way, even though this is the second time in the Guardians franchise for her.

"Amazing actually. I feel like a newcomer as well because I was so watching from the sidelines in the first movie, and then I sort of became a bit of a reluctant Guardian in this movie. Captured and forced to be there, and forced to confront my relationship with my sister Gamora, and that's just been amazing. It's been really cool to be around them and see what it's like and the dynamic has been pretty special."

Pom was a bit envious of all the combat some of the other characters had the chance to partake in, but hopefully, she will get a chance in Guardians 3. "I mean I would love to you know. I've been training like crazy and I can't wait to do an action movie. I trained like crazy when I got the role and was like "Yeah I'm ready!" and you know all the action stuff was was with Nebula and Gamora, and I was like "can I do some please!" (laughs).

You can watch the entire interview in the video above, and the synopsis can be found below.

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos.
