Marvel's Inhumans: First-Look At Lockjaw Revealed

05/21/2017 05:16 pm EDT

Earlier this month, a few lucky fans were given the chance to watch first-look footage of Marvel's Inhumans. The series, which is set to debut later this fall, will see heroes like Black Bolt and Medusa flee to Earth when their home world is faced with a royal coup. While fans are excited to see the royal family team up against Maxiumus' betrayal, there is one character whose debut is bringing all the hype. And, now, a short video of Lockjaw has hit the Internet to the delight of fans.

While the full trailer for Marvel's Inhumans has yet to drop, one Twitter user has managed to find footage of Lockjaw's reported part in the video. User @AreYouInhumans posted the short clip online and tagged Mark Kolpack, a visual effects supervisor on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

"A Trailer Is Coming... but here's a First Look of #LockJaw," the user wrote. "He might steal the show!"

In the clip, fans can see Lockjaw and Black Bolt as the pair teleport onto a busy civilian street. The duo stand in the center of a crowded road, causing a fender-bender along the way. However, it doesn't look like Black Bolt can bring himself to care; The leader of the Inhumans looks rather overwhelmed by his introduce to Earth.

Lockjaw can only be seen for a moment, but he looks remarkably similar to his comic counterpart. While the Inhumans' golden collar and headpiece are missing, the massive pup is seen standing tall even when compared to Black Bolt's lithe frame.

If you are not familiar with Lockjaw, then you will get to learn more about the character when Marvel's show drops. In the comic, the massive pitbull is an escort to the Inhuman's royal family and acts as their teleporter. Born on Atillan, the dog is gifted with an array of psychic powers from teleportation to precognition. Oh - and he's got some insane jaw strength. If Lockjaw chooses to take a bite out of you, then you certainly won't be able to make the guy let go.

The reported synopsis for Inhumans is listed below.

"After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself."

Marvel's Inhumans stars Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Ken Leung (Karnak), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Sonya Balmores (Auran), Mike Moh (Triton), and Ellen Woglom).

Marvel's Inhumans will premiere the first two episodes in IMAX on September 1. The full series will debut on ABC later this fall.
