Marvel Reportedly Developing S.H.I.E.L.D. Spinoff
04/09/2015 12:17 pm EDT
Marvel Studios is reportedly developing a new television spinoff to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The series will be developed by S.H.I.E.L.D. executive produer Jeffrey Bell and series writer Paul Zbyszewski.
But after that, all other details are still under wraps. While the report suggests that story threads from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s current season could give way an entirely new series, it didn't reveal which characters might jump over. What is known, however, is that the spinoff won't have a "proto-pilot" within S.H.I.E.L.D., like The CW's Arrow did for The Flash.
According to the report, which comes from Entertainment Weekly, the spinoff could hit ABC as soon as Fall 2015. But with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. still awaiting its official Season 3 reorder from the network, the spinoff could also be looking at a midseason debut like Marvel's previous spinoff, Agent Carter.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
