Marvel's Inhumans Main Cast and Characters Breakdown

Black Bolt
Played By: Anson Mount (Hell On Wheels)
Character Description: "Can say volumes with just a look. Strong, thoughtful and private, he's unaccustomed to being questioned or feeling a need to answer to anyone, to an extent that can verge on arrogance."
Our Impression: Mount was a breakout on the AMC Western Hell on Wheels, and showed impressive action chops in the Jason Statham action flick Safe. Since he mastered the "strong, silent, type" on HoW, it's not at all a stretch to see him playing great version of Inhumans king, Black Bolt. He definitely has the jawline to fill out the mask...
Medusa
Played By: Serinda Swan (Graceland, Chicago Fire)
Character Description: "An elegant and intelligent advisor to her husband, she struggles to find her place outside of their relationship, as others tend to view her as just a pretty face. Strong and resourceful, she's not afraid to break the rules when the situation demands it."
Our Impression: We're not super familiar with Swan's work, but on quick survey, she seems to have the mix of regal grace and fierceness that could make for an interesting Medusa. If Anson Mount will be the classic version of Black Bolt, then Swan's ability to play off his non-dialogue will be crucial.
Maximus
Played By: Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones)
Character Description: Black Bolt's younger brother; he is intelligent, charming and articulate. He comes across as a man of the people but secretly covets power.
Our Impression: Perfect casting. As Ramsay Bolton on Game of Thrones, Rheon was a maniacal delight to watch - which is everything we expect of The Inhumans' "honest Iago" schemer. It'll be great to see another slow-burn turn toward villainy from Rheon.
Karnak
Played By: Ken Leung (Lost, X-Men: The Last Stand)
Character Description: Slight of build, his mind is his greatest asset. Always prepared with a plan, his outlook on life is the glass is always half-empty and often cracked and dirty as well. Though his outlook can be grim he has a droll, dry sense of humor.
Our Impression: Ken Leung's Miles was a "droll, dry" standout of LOST, so it's easy to see why that wit would be perfectly suited to the cynical Karnak, who sees the flaw in everything.

Slide 5
Played By: Eme Ikwuakor (Concussion)
Character Description: Open, impetuous and brash, he has serious impulse control issues which frequently get him into trouble whether its women, booze or fighting. He loves life and lives in the moment for better or worse.
Our Impression: The Concussion and Extant star is relatively unknown, but the character sounds like he'll be a scene-stealer. That leaves us with kind of an optimistic "wait and see" situation.
Triton
Played By: Mike Moh
Character Description: "Supremely athletic. The ultimate picture of cool. He's calm under pressure and willing to do anything to get the job done."
Our Impression: The actor broke out playing Ryu in the Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist Web series, and he definitely fits the bill for "Supremely athletic." The Triton makeup will be the real determining factor of the character's adaptation for TV, so here's hoping it's good!
Slide 6

Crystal
Played By: Isabelle Cornish
Character Description: "Soulful but still learning the ways of the world, she has the arrogance of youth. Impetuous and independent she is also deeply devoted to her family."
Our Impression: The young actress isn't all that well known - so hopefully this is a fitting breakout for her.
Lockjaw
Played By: CGI
Character Description: The Inhumans' big teleporting pet dog.
Our Impression: Props to the showrunners for going there and doing things in the full-on Marvel tradition.
Auran
Played By: Sonya Balmores
Character Description: "Auran is head of the Royal Guards on Attilan, a capable and no-nonsense woman. She is fiercely loyal to the King of Attilan."
Our Impression: More obscure character, and an actress we don't know that well - no idea how to feel about this one.
Unknown Character
Played By: Ellen Woglom
Character Description: "The mystery character is smart, intense and focused — so focused that oftentimes social skills take a back seat. Her job at a private aerospace company is her life, second only to her passion for all things space and lunar. She's primed to be swept up in an adventure."
Our Impression: Is this going to be revealed as a new character? A secret Marvel character reveal? Right now, Woglom's character seems to be the "every (wo)man" who will lead us into the show; so even if she's the new Skye, history tells us that one day should become someone more iconic.
