Michael Keaton In Talks For Spider-Man: Homecoming Villain Role
04/13/2016 05:49 pm EDT
Michael Keaton is reportedly in the mix to play the villain in Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Marvel and Sony offered no comment on the matter.
If true, Keaton will be joining a cast that includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. It would also mean a DC Comics film icon defecting to Marvel, as Keaton is a former Batman.
Some new information about Sony and Marvel's reboot has come out of CinemaCon. In addition to the film's title announcment, there was a rumor about classic Spider-Man villain the Vulture appearing in the film, which would be a fitting role for the man who was Birdman.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will reboot Sony's Spider-Man movie franchise as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Holland will make his debut as the web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War.
Check out when Spider-Man: Homecoming and other movies are coming out in ComicBook.com's Movie Release Schedule.
