Here's What Michael Shannon Could Look Like As Cable

If you've been paying attention to the world of comic book movies, you've noticed that Deadpool 2 is already the talk of the town.

The film may not even be in production yet, but it's got a lot of factors working in its favor. Obviously the incredible success of the first film has people buzzing about the sequel. On top of that, the process of casting Cable - Deadpool's longtime accomplice - has been a topic of discussion.

The role is one of the most coveted in the industry, attracting the likes of enormous A-list stars. This past week however, reports stated that the field had been narrowed down to two - Michael Shannon and Brad Pitt. The former is said to be the front-runner at this point.

The idea of seeing Michael Shannon as the time-traveling Cable is awesome, and we were dying to see what the former General Zod would look like in the role. Luckily, BossLogic is great at what he does.

We reached out the artist about the concept, and he definitely delivered. BossLogic's take on Michael Shannon as Cable is spot-on, and it makes everyone get even more excited about the possibility.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, and Stefan Kapičić.

The Deadpool movie's sequel is currently in pre-production. Reynolds will return with writer Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. David Leitch will direct. Members of the original film's supporting cast are also expected to return.
