New Doctor Strange Synopsis Released

As Doctor Strange comes closer and closer to its theatrical release, Marvel Studios has begun a steady outpouring of promotional materials.

Marvel's offerings have included new high-resolution stills from Doctor Strange, as well as new featurette further revealing the mystical side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now a new synopsis for Doctor Strange has surfaced, offering a few new details about the film's plot. The new Doctor Strange synopsis reads:

From Marvel comes DOCTOR STRANGE, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place – a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange – armed with newly acquired magical powers – is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey when Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE opens in Irish Cinemas on 25th October.

Marvel reportedly released the synopsis alongside one of the more recent Doctor Strange featurettes, according to Comic Book Movie. CBM fails to cite the exact source, but the inclusion of the Irish release date suggests it was an international outlet.

While we couldn't verify, the new Doctor Strange synopsis doesn't contradict anything we know so far about the movie. In other words, it seems legitimate.
