New Logan Photo Shows Wolverine's Worn Hands

Another teaser image has landed for Logan, and this time fans don't have to guess at what it is.

The new image was released on the WPONX Instagram account and simply says worn alongside a shot of Wolverine's hands. As seen in the initial trailer, this Wolverine is a great deal more wearisome than fans are used to seeing. Scars litter his back and body, as his once vaunted healing factor still heals him but now leaves remnants in its wake.

Logan's hands are a perfect example of this weakened process. It hurts every time he pops his claws anyway, but after years and years of doing so you can see the scar buildup around each claw, and it doesn't even look as if those have healed all the way. It's been a long life for Logan, and frankly, he just seems tired.

Logan takes place in the year 2024, where mutant births have become extremely rare. The defenders of mutantkind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan. Logan's vaunted healing factor has slowed, and at times doesn't seem to work at all. When a young mutant needs his help, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more. His job isn't over yet.
