Now that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is finally in theaters, expect the Marvel Studios promotional machine to shift gears a bit as it prepares for the big screen arrival of a certain wall crawling, web slinging, superpowered teen.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is next on the docket set to release in just a couple of months, featuring newcomer Tom Holland in his take on Peter Parker, undergoing tutelage by Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, and going up against Michael Keaton's blue collar Vulture.

But the youngest hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will not just be teaming with heroes and fighting villains. The new movie will prominently feature Peter's time in high school and his relationship with his peers.

A few new photos were released from the teen magazine J-14 featuring Holland as well as co-stars including Zendaya, Laura Harrier, and Jacob Batalon.

Batalon spoke a little bit about being on set with Holland and playing Spider-Man's best friend Ned Leeds, while Harrier revealed how easy it was to establish the chemistry between her character Liz Allen and Peter.

Perhaps most interesting, however, are the new details we learn about Zendaya's character who is named in this piece as Michelle, "an eccentric girl who is often seen with her nose in a book."

She's described as "a loner" and "super smart" in the piece, which seems at odds with the common portrayals we've seen thus far of Mary Jane—the character she's rumored to be playing. Are the Spider-Man: Homecoming filmmakers trying to throw us off the scene or is Zendaya actually playing a different character?

The spread also talks about a few of the different stunts Holland himself performed as Spider-Man. Check out the feature and be sure to rate your excitement for Spider-Man: Homecoming in our Anticipation Rankings below!

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine -- distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
