Tom Holland Confirms Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming Trilogy Plans

Marvel fans are excited to see Spider-Man's first adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe this summer with Spider-Man: Homecoming - and apparently the adventures will continue into two more Spider-Man: Homecoming sequels!

Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was doing an interview with French site Allocine, when he confirmed plans for the Spider-Man: Homecoming trilogy, stating the following:

"There is still plenty of room to see Peter grow up Parker and especially Spider-Man in the next two movies, and at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the story is definitely not complete, I'm really looking forward to exploring how it will grow, [and to] see what will happen after puberty. Yes, [they're] going to be exciting movies."

He later cleared up any ambiguity by saying, "Yes, there will be Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming 3."

We heard previously that not only would there be Spider-Man: Homecoming sequels, but that the entire trilogy would be set in high school. Now that the first part of those rumors is fully confirmed, we'll see if the second part will pan out, as well.

SYNOPSIS: Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine -- distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7, 2017.
