Spider-Man: Tom Holland Got Punched In The Head While Filming Homecoming

With the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming a little more than a month away, fans are eagerly anticipating plenty of action from the titular web-slinging hero. But according to the film's star, Tom Holland, one of those stunts had a pretty unfortunate result.

During a recent interview with British GQ, Holland revealed that a stuntman accidentally punched him in the head while filming a scene for the Marvel Studios film. The actor explained that this was, in part, due to the limits of the Spider-Man suit itself, as the helmet under his costume made it hard for Holland to see further than five feet.

"I was supposed to dodge it and I just didn't see it coming," he said. "He cracked me in the head. He had this massive gauntlet in his hand, a big metal fist type thing, and he punched me in the face so hard, like you wouldn't believe."

While some might be embarassed by that blunder, Holland appears to ultimately be proud of it - even wanting to see that take in Homecoming.

"But it looks great! I hope they use it. It's one of those things where you stand up and you're angry, like, 'What the hell, man? You punched me in the head!' Then you realize it's entirely your fault."
