Iron Fist's Finn Jones Teases The Defenders' Unusual Meet-Up

With Iron Fist debuting this past weekend, many Marvel fans are now looking onward to The Defenders. The miniseries promises to unite Danny Rand (Finn Jones) with the three other focuses of Marvel Studios and Netflix's partnership - Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Luke Cage (Mike Colter).

While the details surrounding how the four meet are still relatively slim, Finn Jones did hint that the initial introduction will be a unique one.

"The way all the Defenders come together isn't quite what you'd imagine," Jones recently revealed to Metro, "and it's really fun bringing that to life in a very authentic way."

Given the varied personalities between the four members, Jones' comment certainly makes sense. The actor has been vocal in the past about how his character will tie into the larger team, saying that Danny will help his fellow Defenders "see the bigger picture" of what they have to face up against. Jones also explained that teaming up with his fellow New York heroes will cause Danny to overcome some of his anxieties about whether or not to trust people.

While speaking to Metro, Jones pointed out that he was just as comfortable behind the scenes with his castmates. According to Jones, the four shared a unique experience given their work on their past solo shows, which led to the cast bonding pretty heavily.

"It's really great." Jones explained. "The four of us, me, Krysten Ritter, Charlie Cox, Mike Colter, we have such a great dynamic between us as actors and as friends. It feels like I've known them for my entire life. We've all been through the same thing of leading our own shows, so when we come on set together, we all understand what we've been through and we all support and appreciate each other's work."

Iron Fist is now available on Netflix. Marvel's The Defenders comes to Netflix later in 2017.
